The ARCHIVES and the Internet
Michael Rothschild, MD
Arch Otolaryngol Head Neck Surg. 1997;123(9):1015-1017.
Abstract
In response to the growing utility of the Internet, more and more physicians have obtained access to the online world, creating a widespread interest in this new media and the resources it provides. Accordingly, a new position—online editor—has been created on the editorial boards of each of the ARCHIVES journals of the American Medical Association. This editor will keep the readership informed on Internet issues and provide a forum to discuss the academic, ethical, and legal implications of electronic communication. In addition, he or she will coordinate the content of the journal's presence on the World Wide Web.1
