Abstract
In promoting the publication of guidelines for the treatment of otitis media, the Agency for Health Care Policy and Research (Rockville, Md) has attempted to provide an orderly approach for clinicians to treat this most common of childhood illnesses. For this, the Agency is to be congratulated. A highly responsible panel representing a broad cross-sectional view point was used in this most difficult task.
