Abstract
Heterotopic salivary tissue in the neck is rare, and in the majority of case reports, it has been found in the lower part of the neck. Tumors in this tissue are exceptional. Only two cases of malignant changes have been reported to date; both were cases of mucoepidermoid carcinoma. A case of adenocarcinoma pleomorphic adenoma occurred in heterotopic salivary tissue, located in the upper part of the neck.
