Abstract
Histiocytosis X may have a variety of clinical manifestations. The otolaryngologist commonly sees patients with this condition because of purulent aural drainage. A patient was referred to the otolaryngology service with enlargement of the submandibular salivary gland. Excision of this unusual site of involvement provided the initial diagnosis of this patient's disease.
